Sleeping Giant Society

Okay so I have this great idea for a program (afterschool, summer, whatever), but before I begin let me say that this idea is still very raw, and just like Erykah I'm very sensitive about my ish. so without any further ado I do what I respect. S.G.S. - Sleeping Giant Society An organization founded by Darrin McMiller Jr to create opportunites for young talents. A mentoring program that develops young minds and encourages creativity. Helping young people find their voice and in that themselves. Getting the youth to reach their potential. Giving kids an outlet to express themselves and talk, write and communicate their experiences and environment. Providing pen, pages and a stage or stadium for those without. The purpose of education is to replace an empty mind with an open one. In short a society, of sleeping giants waiting to awaken in all of us. We all want to be as big as we think we are, yet still protecting the little guy. Who in turn completes the cycle. We Are S.G.S. -Still an idea people, right now it's still in my head. Behind my eyes for now, but one day it'll be right in front of my eyes.

First Time

Since this is my first blog let me introduce myself my name is Darrin I'm 19 years old and I promise you will get to know me one way or the other. Laugh, Argue, Cry, Unite. No deaf ears here, and no bitting of the tongue. I just want you to see what I see, you don't have to agree, but no blind leading the blind. Trying to find my place in the world and with that The Northern Star was born.
